The Facts and Numbers

Every year since 2008, cycle traffic has increased.  In 2014 a survey in GB was released and it found that 8% of the population aged 5+ cycled three times or more per week, which equates to 5.1m people in Great Britain.  43% of people in GB have access to a bicycle, that is 27.4m people in Great Britain alone.  The 16-44 age group cycle the most.  In 2014, the number of miles cycled altogether (3.25 billion) was 3.8% higher than in 2013 (more than either motorcycles or buses).
