Central Park, NYC

Distance: 8 miles    icon1 Difficulty: Easy

A ride around a gorgeous Park, with iconic skyscrapers in the background.

What a great city NYC is!!  Even if you are visiting as a tourist and do not have a bike with you, you can easily rent many options of bikes in this city.

Thanks to Fred for sending this ride in, all inside Central Park in New York City.  It is not a challenging ride ansd it sure is a greatr route to see the beauty of Central Park.  From my oen experience I prefer spring in April or fall in September time.  Be warned though the summers can be very hot, and the winters very cold in this city.

This ride starts and finishes at Terrace Drive.  Then you head into the middle of the park and around the Jackie Kennedy reservoir.  Stop and take in the sights of the skyline of NYC with the park in front of it.  So many movies have been made with this backdrop.

It truly is an easy ride, with just so many sights as a tourist you will just know and love.  With only a 500ft elevation change of 8 miles you will not even notice this.  I would think it could be easy to do with the kids as well.

Thanks again Fred for your ride, and we look forward to many more.
